I'll be back!
Hello my beauties! I’m writing to tell you that I know I’ve been a ghost to my own blog and that the lack of posts make you AND me sad but right now I’m in school at the Aveda Institute full time. I’m talkin 65 hours a week kind of full time, so that means I don’t have a anytime for blogging right now. I’ll try and do a little something once and a while but...
The Mississippi River is so different in every state yet beautiful. As part of my trip to Wisconsin Ben’s family invited us up to their family hunting cabin for the weekend. ”It’s a little rustic” he told me as we headed up to the cabin. As if I’m such a city girl that I can’t handle some bugs and creepy crawlies. I’m a big girl I thought as I held my...
Last week the boy and I were back in Wisco to visit the in laws. It’s so beautiful this time of year. We got to do a little bit of everything, visit friends, bbq, check out the amish (so cool), thrift, eat frozen custard, visit a cheese factory (duh its wisconsin), and go to the Mississippi River where Ben’s family has a cabin. Here are some photos from out trip.
bakelite is oh so right
I’M BACK!!! Well hello everyone! What a crazy month it’s been with our computer getting stolen and my never ending strep throat. Ok back to the computer, I normally do all my blog work (i.e. photos, editing, blah blah) on Ben’s Macbook pro but it was sadly taken from his car and it had many photos I was planing on using for blog post. I lost all of my photos and Ben lost all...
Anonymous asked: Do you know anything about ASOS maternity line and if it runs true to size?
Is it summer time yet?!
Last weekend Ben and I had a date night and went to Casey’s Irish pub for some dinner and drinks. It was awesome! It’s been around for ever but I think it just got bought out by a night life group called 213 nightlife. They gave it some much needed TLC and made it look even more vintage then I remembered. It sits below the city streets of downtown LA and has so much character. I...
Now that its starting to get warmer its time for BBQ’s! I can’t tell you how excited I am to be enjoying warm nights and some bbq, drinks, and fun with friends. Last week was the perfect time. We headed to our friend Bray’s house and had a great night. As we headed out for the night Ben thought to take some photos of my outfit. (what a great guy). My outfit: jumpsuit/ASOS...
When I was a kid these ladies made me want to go into my mom’s closet and wear her heels and fur around the house. Now that I’m grown I still look at them a sigh. They just look like they float on air don’t they? Here are some photos of some of my inspirations. Betty Grable Rosemary Clooney Judy Garland
Anonymous asked: do you know if asks runs true to size I'm a US 18 do i order 18 or bigger or smaller thanks
Freedom Hair (get it?, lol)
Over the weekend Ben, Candice and I decided to have a room mate date night. We headed to downtown LA and went to Spring Street Smoke House and had bbq. After we were done stuffing our faces with yummy pulled pork and burnt ends we headed to LA Live and watched a movie. Can you guys what we saw? Surprise! It was The Avengers. I had to show my support to Captain America and his 40’s era...
I love love love Deconso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge. I grew up in north Glendale so I spent a lot of time here as a kid. Its so beautiful, just like Huntington Gardens it once was a private property that was donated to the their cities. It has lots to see, rose gardens, oak tree’s, a camellia tree forest, little streams with bonds, wild life, and a beautiful home thats a small...
I'm doin just peachy
I was so excited to get my package from ASOS.com this week. So many good sale items, and with that extra 10% off I couldn’t say no. This dress is one of the things I bought. It has a great old timey feel but is soft like jersey and I just love the color scheme of grey and peach. I paired it with a belt from asos, the shoes are kimchy and blue, and my sweater is old navy. I hope everyone...
Viva Las Vegas!
Well hi there! Sorry I’ve been away for the past few weeks, it’s been crazy with school and life in general. About two weeks ago a bunch of us gals went to Vegas for our friends bachelorette party. We had a blast! 3 days of sun, fun, and booze. Here are some photos from that weekend. I’ll have many more photos of things I’ve been up to and I can’t wait to share...
A 40's twist on a 80's dress.
Well it’s just about a month later and I’m still sick. I have some good days and some not so good days but on my “bad days” I get to catch up on all the TV shows and movies I’ve been wanting to watch. So Last weekend I watched the HBO mini series Mildred Pierce. I had watched the old movie when I was a kid but had been wanting to watch the new one which was...
Easter Bonnet Brunch
This Easter my friend Jacqueline and I decided to have a Easter bonnet brunch at my house. It was a perfect warm day to wear our Sunday best and drink sangria and mimosas. I made gluten free blueberry scones from my Babycakes bake cook so they were healthy and also vegan! I also made a very yummy gluten free egg firttata that was so so so yummy and easy to make. After we were all full and happy...
more photos from easter… aw penny the sweetest little dog ever. Ben is the best easter bunny around. The end
Gluten-Free Honey Muffins
I recently went gluten free and I have to tell yeah its day 12 and its getting hard I miss bread, sandwiches, bagels, and other bread like things. Like muffins, so I went to my local grocery store and pick up some items I could bake with. I found a recipe on line for a honey muffin made from coconut flour. What you’ll need….. So my photo of the baked muffin didn’t come...
Fun photos with my new camera
Tuesday was my birthday and it was a blast! Ben treated me to a birthday breakfast out and a day of thrifting. You’ll never believe what he got me……my sweet wonderful man bought me a Canon EOS Rebel T3!! I was so happy I cried, I had been starting to save for a better camera but was a ways away. ”It’s the perfect investment for you’re blog” he said and...

Birds of a feather
Yesterday was a nice relaxing day with Ben. We strolled around town and had some late lunch at Cafe 101. Ben also had a fancy dinner date planned for us but wouldn’t tell me where it was going to be! He ended up taking me to Taix a french restaurant that started in 1927 and has 3 members on staff that have been working there for 50 years. My camera doesn’t take good photos at night...
Anonymous asked: It doesn't have to be a super fancy, generic prom dress. A few places I love to shop are Urban Outfitters, Gap, Modcloth, Buffalo Exchange, i hate to say it, but kind of like a really subtle "silverlake hipster." My style is pretty contemporary-basic. I don't take huuge risks with clothes. I wouldn't exactly be a fan of anything form-fitting or super tight. I'm open...
Since Monday was Presidents day and Ben and I had the day off AND our friend was still in town we knew the best thing to do would be to go to Huntington Gardens. I just love it there with all their different botanical gardens and small galleries it seemed like the perfect place to spend the day. Not everything was blooming but it was still beautiful. Plus its just nice to get outside and walk...
Yesterday I went down to Little Tokyo and had some ramen with Ben and Sarah then to the cute Japanese market where I bought so much fun Japanese candy. And I did a little shopping (yay!!). I just love this tank with its strips and bows. I was so exited when I found it at F21. Plus I knew it would look so cute with my long sleeve shirt from Gap. Perfect for a cold day. My pants are also...
Hearts of Love
Oh man was today a nice day I’m getting so spoiled. Ben, Sarah, and I went out to have some southern style BBQ at Spring Street smoke house in Chinatown. Then went off to Scoops to get some ice cream. I wore my ASOS curve Heart dress and my Mia wooden shoes. My whistle necklace is from F21 and the top one is vintage. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
It was such a beautiful sunny afternoon today! So of course I had to take advantage and have some lunch in the fresh hair. Ben and I have a friend staying with us from out of town so we thought Alcove would be a perfect place to go eat. Pretty much the whole play is great outdoor seating. If you’ve never been there the desert alone is worth it. Happy Friday! Today’s outfit:...
A little flare
This Saturday I had a fun filled day of cutting hair and hanging out at my friend Hannah’s store. OTF was having an event and side walk sale! I bought some amazing jewelry and Ben bought a great cowboy shirt (as he always does). My outfit today was all about the flares. I have to say I love them but haven’t really wore them since I was in 7th grade. But now I have found a new...
a night out
Friday night some friends and I went to Hotel Cafe to see a great band called Neon Hymns. They have amazing energy when I’ve seen them play live taking the time to get to a show is worth it. It was a great way to end the week, having a drink with some friends and relaxing at a show. I love this dress from ASOS so much, its like a country dream. The lace and blue color make it for me....
